I hated oatmeal for a long long long time. I thought it was sad food and there was no good reason to eat it. But I needed to fill up in the morning and I needed a punch of protein to start my day.
I gave it a try one day. I loaded it with sugar and topped it with fruit. I didn’t hate it, and the sugar was my gateway into a new favorite breakfast. Now I skip the sugar and load the bowl with seeds and nuts. I’m hooked on almond butter and I’ve recently discovered coconut flakes and raw cocoa nibs.
If you’re looking to be more heathy try starting your day with oatmeal. But, if you need to begin the journey with sugar, by all means, try it.
